Disneyland Paris Itinerary: 2 Days

How To Spend 2 Days In Disneyland Paris. Sleeping Beauty's Castle. By The Organised Explorers

Disneyland Paris is a magical destination which offers an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're planning a quick getaway or combining your visit with a trip to the beautiful city of Paris, Disneyland Paris is the perfect place for a memorable holiday. But is it possible to experience all that Disneyland Paris has to offer in just two days? Absolutely! With a little planning, a 2 day adventure at Disneyland Paris is achievable. Whether you're visiting for the first time or have visited the parks many times before, this 2 day itinerary, along with extra planning tips, will help you make the most of your time and create unforgettable memories during your visit to Disneyland Paris.

Note: For this itinerary, you'll need a 2 day/2 park ticket. If you have an annual pass or an undated ticket, you will need to register the date of your visit before entry. More information here.

Tip: Arrive As Early As Possible

If you want to make the most of your time at Disneyland Paris, arriving as early as possible both days is essential. Where you are staying will determine how early you can enter the parks.

A Disney Hotel: If you're staying onsite in a Disney hotel (or have an annual pass) you will have early access to the parks, known as Extra Magic Time (EMT). The parks open early each morning to Disney Hotel guests, allowing them extra time to enjoy the parks before other guests are admitted. If you have EMT, we highly recommend making the most of this perk and taking advantage of the shorter queue times. We suggest arriving at the park about 15 minutes before Extra Magic Time begins to be one of the first in the queue. All you need to do is show your Magic Card at the park gate.

A Non-Disney Hotel: If you're not staying in a Disney Hotel, you may still be able to get into the parks early. How? Our top tip is to arrive 15 minutes before the official park opening time. It's not guaranteed, but sometimes the cast members begin letting guests into the parks early. If this doesn't happen on your trip, by arriving early you'll still be one of the first non-Disney Hotel guests into the park.

Day 1: Disneyland Park

Morning: Mainstreet USA, Frontierland & Discoveryland

Take a walk down Mainstreet USA.

Start your trip with a day in the beautiful Disneyland Park. The Imagineers clearly spent a lot of time making this park feel special, so take your time and soak in the atmosphere as you walk down Mainstreet USA, especially if this is your first visit. Listen to the music, admire the design of the buildings, peer into the magical window displays and take in the sight of the beautiful Sleeping Beauty castle at the end of the street.

Venture into the Wild West in Frontierland.

After taking plenty of pictures of this part of the park, head to Frontierland to take a trip on "the wildest ride in the wilderness", Big Thunder Mountain. Big Thunder Mountain is one of the more popular rides in Disneyland Park but often has short wait times during Extra Magic Time, so we recommend riding it first.

After your wild ride, wander over to the imposing house overlooking Frontierland and unearth the mystery that haunts Phantom Manor. When leaving this attraction, head to the side of the house and explore Boot Hill, a cemetery with humorous gravestones connected to the story of Phantom Manor.

Explore the wonders of Discoveryland.

Take a ride on our favourite rollercoaster at Disneyland Paris, Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain, before journeying to a galaxy far far away, with Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

If you have younger ones in your group, or are a big kid at heart, end your time in Discoveryland by watching the 4D show, Mickey's PhilharMagic and challenging your friends and family to a ride on Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast.

Afternoon: Lunch, Shows & Family Rides

Enjoy a quick-service lunch.

After a busy morning, you're probably ready for some food and to rest your feet. As time is precious, we wouldn't recommend a table-service meal for lunch, especially on the first day, as the service across the parks can be a little slow. However, Disneyland Park has some great quick-service options for lunch including: Café Hyperion in Discoveryland, Hakuna Matata in Adventureland, Casa de Coco in Frontierland (our personal favourite) and Casey's Corner located on Mainstreet USA. Or you can skip all the lunch time queues and bring lunch with you.

If you'd prefer a table-service lunch, Walt's - An American Restaurant (pictured below) offers a relaxing dining experience and is a great way to get out of the crowds. If you or your little ones would like to meet princesses during your trip, Auberge de Cendrillon is an excellent option, combining a delicious meal with an opportunity to meet 3 princesses and their princes.

Discover some of the quieter spots in Disneyland Park.

After a big lunch, we wouldn't recommend jumping on any rides straight away, so take some time to explore the quieter areas of Disneyland Park. Discover Cinderella's carriage behind Auberge de Cendrillon, make a wish at Snow White's wishing well to the right of the castle or visit the dragon that lives beneath the castle (look for the "La Tanière du Dragon" sign). Did you know you can also walk to the top of the castle? Follow the staircase up to see Sleeping Beauty's story unfold through detailed stained glass windows and gorgeous tapestries.

When you've explored the beautiful castle, make you way over to Adventureland. Take a trip to Agrabah and explore Le Passage Enchanté d'Aladdin, a walkthrough attraction of miniature scenes retelling the story of Aladdin. From here, you're a short walk away from Pirates of The Caribbean, an indoor boat ride through a town under pirate siege, featuring Captain Jack Sparrow.

Enjoy a performance of the Broadway-style Lion King show.

Disneyland Paris is home to some incredible stage shows, with our top pick being The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, located at the far end of Frontierland. This impressive show features live singers, dancers, and acrobats which bring iconic scenes from The Lion King to life. We highly recommend catching a performance if the show is running during your visit and recommend arriving 30 - 45 minutes before the performance to get a seat.

Step into a world of fairytales in Fantasyland.

Spend the last part of your afternoon in the prettiest of the 5 lands, Fantasyland. Here is where you will find classic family rides such as Peter Pan's Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and It's A Small World.

Explore the newly added scenes in the refurbished Le Pays des Contes de Fées, or take a ride on Casey Jr. through Storybook Land.

Make sure to take a spin on the Mad Hatter's Teacups or get lost in Alice's Curious Labyrinth. Tip: After completing the maze, walk up the stairs to the top of the Queen of Hearts' castle for a great view of the park.

Watch the parade.

Fantasyland is the perfect spot to watch Disney Stars on Parade, where beloved Disney characters travel through the park on colourful themed floats, dancing to fun music. If you would like a good view of the parade, we recommend finding a spot before the show begins (about 30 minutes before on quiet days and 45 minutes on busier days) To see the route the parade takes through the park click here. The parade time changes throughout the year, so make sure to check the schedule for you visit via the Disneyland Paris app.

Tip: Our favourite place to enjoy the parade is at the turrets opposite Pizzeria Bella Notte. This area is not as busy as other parts of the parade route and the view is great.

If you're not really into characters, skip the parade and use this time to ride some of your favourite attractions with shorter lines.

Evening: Dinner, Fireworks & Shopping

Enjoy a delicious dinner.

After a full day of exploring Disneyland Park, you'll be ready for a delicious meal. The parks close at different times of the year, so check the times for your visit before planning when and where to eat. To make the most of your park time, our advice is:

If Disneyland Park closes after 8pm: Eat before the nighttime show inside of the park. There are a number of great options for a table-service dinner in Disneyland Paris including: dinner with the princesses at Auberge de Cendrillon, an immersive meal inside Pirates of the Caribbean at Captain Jack's or a delicious all you can eat buffet at Plaza Gardens. If you're on a tighter budget or would like a quicker meal to end the day, we love the burritos at Casa de Coco and the fish and chips at Toad Hall for a tasty meal that isn't your usual theme park food.

If Disneyland Park closes before 8pm: Venture out and enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants in Disney Village or at one of the hotel restaurants after the park has closed. Some of the best meals we have enjoyed at Disneyland Paris have been at the hotels. Downtown Restaurant at the Hotel New York - The Art Of Marvel is our personal favourite and the buffet restaurant Hunter's Grill at Sequoia Lodge. For a more formal dining experience, book a table at Manhattan Restaurant at Hotel New York or the newly opened La Forêt Secrète at the Disneyland Hotel for something extra special.

Tip: If you choose a table-service or a buffet restaurant, reserve a table as tables book up fast! Read our post on how to reserve a table at Disneyland Paris, (even when they're fully booked) here

Watch the fireworks.

A day in Disneyland Paris isn’t complete without experiencing the brand new nighttime spectacular, Disney Tales of Magic. This stunning show takes place at park closing and features incredible fireworks, drones, water effects, and projections on the Sleeping Beauty Castle and along the buildings on Main Street USA.

Don't forget to say goodbye to Mickey, who waves to guests as they leave the park. Find him at the train station at the front of the park.

The shops on Main Street USA remain open for about 45 minutes after the fireworks, making it a great time to grab some souvenirs. You can also enjoy a drink at one of the Disney hotel bars or head back to your hotel for an early night, as you'll have an early start the next day.

Day 2: Walt Disney Studios

Make the most of your second day by getting up bright and early and heading to the Walt Disney Studios Park. Remember, if you're a Disney hotel guest, make use of Extra Magic Time, or if you're a non-Disney hotel guest, arrive before park open to avoid the queues.

There’s a lot of construction happening at Disneyland Paris right now, mostly focused on creating new lands in Walt Disney Studios. These areas are set to reopen in 2026, along with a name change to Disney Adventure World. While we wait for these exciting updates, expect major construction work in Walt Disney Studios, including construction walls and narrower walkways in certain areas.

Morning: Lots of Rides & Avengers Campus

Toon Studio & Worlds of Pixar.

When you enter the park, you want to follow the crowd to the right and ride Crush's Coaster first. Usually, we don't like to follow the crowd, but wait times for this attraction are consistently high (about 60 - 90 minutes long) so we recommend heading there first in Extra Magic Time for shorter wait times. If you arrive later or the wait times are already above 60 minutes, we suggest you ride Crush's Coaster later in the day, as other attractions tend to have shorter queues in the morning. Alternatively, you can buy a Premier Access pass where you can skip the queue.

After being spun around on Crush's Coaster head to the back of the park to ride Ratatouille: The Adventure, a fun, immersive 4D attraction that's fun for all the family. Pick up some souvenirs from Chez Marianne and look at all the little details in this beautiful land before making your way across the park to enjoy the thrilling drops on The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror.

If there are little ones in your group, they are sure to enjoy the recently rethemed ride Cars Road Trip and a visit to Toy Story Playland to ride Toy Soldier's Parachute Drop and Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin. Be sure to pick up some cute Pixar themed snacks from various locations, including Monsters Inc beignets, Toy Story shortbread biscuits and Lightning McQueen toasted sandwiches.

Explore Disneyland Paris' newest land.

Avengers Campus is Disneyland Paris' newest land, with 2 new attractions, 2 restaurants and lots of shows and characters it is a must do for Marvel fans of all ages. Join Spiderman and catch escaped spider bots on W.E.B Adventure. Then, team up with Iron Man and Captain Marvel to save the world on the thrilling Flight Force rollercoaster.

Be on the lookout for various Marvel characters as they watch over Avengers Campus from the rooftops and walk through the land meeting and interacting with guests. To guarantee a meeting with one of the heroes, join the virtual queue via the Disneyland Paris app for access to the Hero Training Center. Enjoy various interactive shows, such as the Wakanda Warriors or Guardians of the Galaxy: Dance Challenge! There's so much to experience in Walt Disney Studio's newest land.

Afternoon: Lunch & Shows

Time for lunch.

After a morning of exploring Walt Disney Studios, you'll be ready to relax and enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Stay in Avengers Campus and enjoy an all-you-can-eat American buffet at the creatively themed PYM Kitchen, or visit Stark Factory (pictured below) for a quick-service meal surrounded by high-tech gear, including the giant Hulkbuster armour.

Enjoy some of Walt Disney Studios' award-winning shows.

After lunch, take a break and enjoy one of the park's award-winning shows. Head to Animagique Theatre to see Mickey & The Magician, a must-see for any Disney fan. At the Studio Theatre, catch TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, the newest show at Walt Disney Studios, blending costumed characters, screens, and live musicians for an immersive experience. Both shows are incredible and well worth taking the time to watch. Arrive at least 30 minutes early, as they’re popular and tend to fill up quickly.

If you have Frozen fans in your group, be sure to catch Frozen: A Musical Invitation at Animation Courtyard. While this charming show is primarily for younger children, older Frozen fans may likely enjoy it as well. The Sven puppet is especially delightful!

The shows take scheduled breaks throughout the year, so be sure to check the Disneyland Paris website for the latest schedules here.

Revisit some of your favourite attractions.

If you've not had a chance to do everything on the itinerary so far, now is your chance to catchup.

If everything has gone smoothly and you've ticked off everything on your itinerary, great! Use the rest of the afternoon revisiting your favourite rides, or if you're ready for a break from the attractions, explore one of the quieter parts of the parks such as La Cabane des Robinson or Adventure Isle. Or visit the Animation Academy and learn how to draw a Disney character. Take the weight off your feet and enjoy a scenic ride around the park on the Disneyland Railroad or take some time to meet your favorite characters.

Evening: Dinner, Fireworks & Shopping

Have a great final meal at Disneyland Paris.

A great trip calls for a memorable final meal. Bistro Chez Rémy (pictured below) is a great option if you're looking for a relaxed table-service dinner. The theming is wonderful, the food is great and this restaurant gets bonus points for the beautiful Ratatouille soundtrack playing in the background. If you'd prefer to escape the parks reserve a table at Manhattan Restaurant in Hotel New York for Italian cuisine or visit Yacht Club at Newport Bay Club Hotel for some fresh seafood. For something extra special, consider booking at the newly opened La Forêt Secrète at the Disneyland Hotel.

On our June 2022 trip, we enjoyed meals at Hunter's Grill, Downtown Restaurant, Bistrot Chez Remy & Walt's. Read what we thought in our trip 2022 report here.

Tip: If you choose a table-service or a buffet restaurant in one of the parks or hotels, reserve a table as they can book up fast. Read our post on how to reserve a table at Disneyland Paris (even when they're fully booked) here

Some of our favourite budget friendly dinner options include Annette's Diner for an American diner experience with generous portion sizes, Earl of Sandwich at Disney Village for a quick and tasty sandwich, or Rainforest Café also in Disney Village, perfect for picky eaters.

Fireworks, shopping & bars.

A day in Disneyland Paris doesn't feel complete without watching the fireworks. If you feel the same, find a good spot to enjoy Disney Tales of Magic. For an extra touch of magic, grab a glass of champagne from the cart on Main Street USA to enjoy with the show.

Not quite ready to end your trip? Grab some last minute souvenirs at World of Disney in Disney Village or relax with a drink at the Marvel themed Skyline Bar in Hotel New York.

Other things to keep in mind:

• If you or a member of your group has a disability: "Guests with disabilities or a Long Term Chronic Disease can request a Priority Card or Easy Access Card for certain activities and services, depending on the official document provided by the Guest." more information can be found here

• If you're visiting on a busy day and want to ride popular attractions with smaller wait times, we suggest making use of Disney Premier Access. This service is a pay per ride system which allows guests to skip large portions of the queues at the most popular attractions. To find out how this service works and how much it costs, visit the Disneyland Paris official website here.

• If you can, avoid visiting on a weekend as the parks will be busier, meaning the queues will be longer. We have found Tuesday - Thursday to be the quietest days.

Each trip will be unique depending on your group size and individual needs, but we hope this itinerary will be helpful when planning your trip. No matter how you spend your two days, Disneyland Paris always offers a magical experience. Be sure to check out our other Disneyland Paris blog posts for more tips and information to help you make the most of your trip. Happy planning!
